My name is Abby Fernihough
I have been painting and drawing as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until college that I found my true purpose and style as an artist.
I graduated from Spring Arbor University where I studied Studio Art + Freelance and Personal Branding. I love spending time with friends and family, exploring new coffee shops, thrifting, getting tattoos, and listening to music.
I was a self-taught artist up until college, where I spent some of the best years of my life! I now am putting my focus into murals, live paintings, and shows as a freelance artist.
I strive to paint the hidden battles that exist within our minds, in between souls, and amongst broken communities
Artist Statement
I find boundless freedom and peace in painting with colors and shapes that flow from my heart. Heavily inspired by abstract and street art, I hope to embrace vibrancy in my presentation and purpose in my message. Every painting is a direct conversation between the Lord and me.
I hope to invite empathy into spaces of misunderstanding and comfort into spaces of resonance. Having my own mental health struggles, I paint to cope, grow, and inspire--to unveil what is unseen and speak for what is unspoken. God has used art to teach me about myself, His grace, and His redemption. Suffering does not have to be destructive--it can be connecting, poetic, and growing. Life is beautiful and pain has purpose.
